“Winery of the Year”
Melbourne International Wine Competition 2017
Farnese Fantini is based in Ortona, in the Province of Chieti, Abruzzo, Italy. Wines from Abruzzo were made famous in the 16th Century when Princess Margaret of Austria and her husband Prince Farnese started making quality wines which were enjoyed at feasts throughout Europe.
Fantini by Farnese aim to create wines that reflect the colours of Abruzzo. The vines used to make Fantini wines enjoy an excellent exposure and microclimate. Once the grapes are harvested, the wines are crafted in the heart of the Colline Teramame DOCG applellation in a modern winemaking facility.
